Horseback
riding across the Andes, the "Independence Road" Argentina |

days. Guided by the baquianos we will ride through isolated
paths, crossing the Andean passes "Espinacito" and "La
Honda", more than 4300 m high, heading to El Valle de Los
Patos. The same road used 200 years ago by a huge force made of
5000 men and 2500 horses and mules, prepared by local criollos
to fight against the Spanish in order to gain their independence,
an odyssey compared to the Alejandro Magno combats. During the
way we will have breathtaking views, including the Aconcagua Peak
and many glaciers, cross ice penitentes fields, frozen rivers,
grassy valleys and enjoy clear star-filled skies next to the fire.

discovering the center of its culture: the wonderful city of Cusco.
After exploring Cusco we will head to the Sacred Valley, the most
important area for Incas because of its unique beauty and fertility,

will begin, riding our horses we will go towards the high Urubamba
Andean passes and reach the isolated and rarely-visited Lares
Valley. There we will have not only a great experience visiting
the native communities that still preserve ancient traditions

Aconcagua

To begin our trip to Machu Picchu citadel we will head by train
to Aguas Calientes and spend a night there, having time to enjoy
the hot water springs and surroundings. The next day we will go
up to Machu Picchu very early, before the tourists arrive with
the train, having the complete day to explore the wonderful and
mysterious “Lost city of the Incas”....
